I’m sure that if you follow me on social media, you’ll know that this week I’ve been struck down by the flu. Yes, I know my constant “woe is me” status updates might have been annoying but if you can’t crave sympathy when you’re ill when can you? I’ve got a little behind with work too which isn’t good. It’s just so hard to concentrate when you’re a snotty, rattly, achy mess. So, I’ve spent the majority of the last week curled up in a blanket drugging myself on flu meds and hot honey and lemon. Despite feeling like death, it’s actually been kinda nice to just relax and take it easy. Although, it is really hard to shake the feeling of guilt that I SHOULD be working.
I’m still not 100%. I still ache, my nose is runny and I still rattle when I cough… but unfortunately the world doesn’t stop turning just because I’m not well. I actually have a busy week ahead of me.
There are lots of photos to edit from a wedding I shot last weekend in Liverpool as part of Blush & Bloom Photography, the photography business I run with my partner and BFF Sophie. Can’t wait to get them up as it’s some of our best work.
I’m off to meet some folks on Tuesday at Blea Tarn in the Lake District for a group photo shoot as part of Looks Like Film UK.
The Press Tent is holding a bloggers dinner on Wednesday with cocktails and Caligraphy mini class run by Artsynibs. I’ll be heading here to meet some other bloggers from around Manchester and the North West and to try out some fun activities.
On top of that, I’m working on some really exciting projects. I’m creating new websites for a few photographers… plus a photography course website by the talented Helen Lishman Photography. So if you’re looking to improve your skills, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that.
Sending lots of love, luck and good health for the coming week to everyone. Have a great one.
