I’m trying to practise my video skills at the moment… currently, the thought of skyping someone sends me into a cold sweat and vlogging and creating interesting videos has been something I’ve wanted to do for ages but haven’t really had the confidence. So, when Maplin contacted me to see if I wanted to review their Kaiser Baas X2 Action Camera I jumped at the chance to give it a go.
If you’re unfamiliar with action cameras, they’re designed to record your most extreme adventures, whether exploring new locations, getting involved in extreme sports or simply filming your every day life. Since I’m not the adrenaline junkie I used to (or have ever been for that matter) I decided to attach it to my Jack Russell Terrier, Charlie. (he’s pretty bonkers)
The camera has an amazing 150 degree super wide angle lens, so you can re-live your experiences in vivid detail with your family and friends… or in my case, it makes a great little camera for vlogging and recording your everyday life. It also comes with a sturdy, waterproof case so if your are adventurous enough to take it somewhere wet, it will allow you to dive up to a staggering 40 meteres in depth.
The Kaiser Baas X2 has a Micro Sd card slot to keep all your videos. It doesn’t come with one but I used a 32gb micro by sandisk which is plenty of room. Maplin have a great selection to suit your budget and recoding needs.
Using the camera was super easy too. I just downloaded the app from the app store which allows the camera to connect to your phone via wifi. There you can adjust your settings, record, view and save videos all from your phone.
This is something I’m definitely planning to use more often. Creating this has been a lot of fun. Let me know what you think of my video in the comments… be nice… it’s a first attempt
This is a sponsored post from Maplin. The camera was very kindly given to me free of charge in exchange for a review.
